NWPS - Galleries Besides neatly combining two lifelong interests, what really attracts me to wildlife photography is the challenge.  Good photos seldom happen by accident – you need to plan what subjects you want capture, when and where to go, and hope for suitable weather.  You also need to figure out how to get close enough, be prepared to wait patiently and have a degree of luck! Though many of my photos are of birds, I’m not really a bird specialist.  I’m interested in all wildlife, though I do have a particular fondness for lizards – there’s something prehistoric about them that appeals!   Natural World Photographic Society photography by: Mike Rowe
